We always say that we have to treasure every moment a long as we have time and as long are we and our love ones are still alive. Saying to our love “I love you” is one way of expressing and making them feel that we love them. Honestly I may be tactless yet I am not that vocal with my feelings. I don’t normally say “I love you” with someone. I prefer to write it on letters and cards. In the same way I don’t hear that phrase intended to me. But today I just heard it from a friend of mine. She said “Kaya nga mahal kita” (that’s why I love you). At first I thought that I just over heard it, so she repeated it. What a breath of fresh air to me. I was so refreshing. It was the second time that she told me that but the very first time that she told me that vocally. The first time was when she wrote it on a card. I don’t know what to feel. I just can’t explain the happiness that I felt when she told me that.
Lesson learned : Be vocal in appreciating somebody. Don’t just say it for the sake of saying it. But make sure to say it genuinely form the heart. This could bring such joy to that person with you knowing it.
