After three failed attempts finally I was able to experience this beautiful island. You’ve read it right! I had three failed attempts just as what I have written in my previous post “Misadventure but not a Misfortune“, but nevertheless it was all worth it.
I traveled with my previous group that we called  the “Calaguas Resbackers”. Because of our previous failed trip last February. This time there were additional people is our group. Apart from Rachel and Gerald, Lea and Homer, Ate MJ, Ate Gigi, Beverly and Kuya Bong which is the original part of the group. Beverly brought her son and her partner with same. Same as kuya Bong he brought his son Kyle.
Our travel time was just the same. It took us just additional 30 mins since Beverly brought some food and we had dinner first before we went head to Vinzon. We left Vinzon via boat about 9:30 am and it took us less than three hours before we get to Calaguas Island. The boat was exclusive for us. The boat ride was really challenging. The waives were so strong when we were in the middle of the sea and the sun is in its full blast.
Were all wet and exposed in the sun. Its a little bit exhausting being exposed under the sun and being soked in salt water at the same time. After about two hours and thirty minutes of boat ride we finally get to the island. After getting out of the boat the first thing that I did was – lied down on sa powdery white sand of the shore and told myself “Finally!”. The long travel time was all worth it as you experience the beauty of beach. The sea water is so cold and refreshing.
When we were in the island we swim, we had island hopping, trekking and took a lot of photos.
Calaguas Navigatours was our tour provider/host. They really took care of us. Thanks to Josh for giving us such a wonderful experience in the island. Aside from being a nice host and very accommodating people, I love the food they served. I love Pork humba, Buttered Shrimp, Bicol Express and Laing. There are not just authentic and awesomely delicious, it was also buffet. I can’t even remember how many time we had our refill.
Over all the experience was extremely fun!
If you want to experience the same thing don’t hesitate to visit this wonderful Island. For hassle free arrangement you may contact Josh of Calaguas Navigatours. Visit their facebook to check for the available dates or send him a personal message for easy transaction.

Edd describes himself as an asocial and acerbic individual. He began blogging in 2007 on Blogspot, long before blogging became a widespread trend. Initially, his blog served as an online diary—a personal journal where he shared his experiences, thoughts, and travels. Over time, his blog evolved into a space where he could express his random musings and reflections. This personal blog doesn’t focus on any specific niche, but instead, it’s a collection of his diverse interests and feelings. Edd created the blog purely as a hobby, with no particular intention of aligning it with any particular theme or audience. It remains a platform for him to write about whatever crosses his mind, with a style that is uniquely his own—raw, honest, and unapologetic. Through the years, the blog has served as a creative outlet, allowing Edd to document his personal journey while sharing bits of his life and thoughts with the world.
