“Raise Your Flag” was started from the answer of Catriona Gray during the Top 15 round of the Miss Universe 2018 pageant in Thailand, when Steve Harvey asked her what would be the song to describe her experience at the contest. Composers Jonathan Manalo and Trisha Denise later turned it into a song which was performed by KZ Tandingan and Kritiko in front of Gray at the Miss Universe 2018 Homecoming Special aired on ABS-CBN on the 10th of March 2019.
