You Are Stronger Than You Think
Dear Self,

It’s perfectly okay not to feel okay sometimes. Life, with its twists and turns, can easily become overwhelming. It might seem like the weight of everything is pressing down on you, making even the smallest task feel impossible. I know it can be hard, and there are days when it feels like you’re standing still, trapped in your own thoughts, wondering how you’ll ever get through it. But you are not alone in this. You are never truly alone. Even on your darkest days, there’s a glimmer of hope just waiting to be discovered.

The truth is, it’s natural to have moments of doubt and sorrow. It’s part of the human experience. We are constantly shifting and evolving, sometimes in ways we don’t fully understand. Emotions are powerful, and they don’t always follow a neat, predictable path. It’s okay to feel them in all their rawness. It’s okay to sit with your feelings for a moment and let them wash over you. Crying, when needed, isn’t a sign of weakness—it’s a form of release. Sometimes, we hold everything inside, hoping that if we just push through, we’ll come out unscathed. But that’s not how healing works. Acknowledging your emotions, letting yourself feel them fully, is how you begin the process of moving forward.

Take your time. There is no rush. We often place unrealistic expectations on ourselves, thinking we need to constantly be “okay” or “strong” all the time. The truth? Sometimes, strength lies in giving yourself the grace to not be okay. There’s power in recognizing that it’s alright to not have everything figured out, that you don’t need to have all the answers right now. Allow yourself space to heal, to breathe, and to reflect. Take a step back and just *be*. Maybe you need to be alone for a while, or maybe you need to reach out to someone who will listen. Whatever it is, honor what your body and mind need in those moments.

However, it’s also important to remember that those moments don’t define you. They are temporary, not permanent. The darkness you feel now is just a chapter in your life, not the whole story. When you’re ready, when the time feels right, you will rise again. You will move forward, even if it’s just a small step at first. It’s okay if it feels slow. Progress doesn’t always have to be a sprint. Sometimes, it’s just about finding the strength to take one step, and then another, and then another. Little by little, you will rebuild. The path might not be easy, but you are so much stronger than you realize. It’s in those moments when you feel the most defeated that you’re actually learning your true power. You might not see it right away, but you’re gaining resilience, wisdom, and courage with every step.

When the clouds start to clear, you’ll see that there’s always a new day ahead. Each new morning brings with it a chance to start fresh, to find hope in places you may have forgotten existed. The world is full of possibilities, and although it may seem hard to see in your current state, those opportunities will be waiting for you when you’re ready to embrace them. There’s always a tomorrow, always a future that holds something better. You don’t have to have everything figured out right now. Just focus on taking things one moment at a time.

You are more than the sum of your struggles. You are a person of immense strength, even when you don’t feel it. Every challenge you face, every hurdle you overcome, makes you a little more resilient. There is greatness in you, even in the times when it feels like you’re at your lowest. So don’t rush. Don’t be hard on yourself. Allow yourself to heal, to breathe, and to trust that with every day that passes, you’re moving closer to a brighter tomorrow. You’ve got this, more than you know.
